Should Wasp Lead an All-Female Avengers Movie?

Peyton Reed, director of the Ant-Man movies, has just spoken up about something that has only happened within my wildest dreams: an all-female Avengers movie. Yes, Reed has spoken up and said that he believes Wasp should lead an all-female Avengers movie. With more and more female superheroes joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this sounds absolutely AWESOME and actually doable.

Wasp

While many women seem to love Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, there are many other female superheroes in the MCU that could now join the roster of an all-female Avengers, including Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp. Let’s not forget Brie Larson as the upcoming Captain Marvel, either. Since Evangeline Lilly has said that she doesn’t want to do a solo Wasp movie, how about an all-female Avengers movie instead?

Peyton Reed, however, says, “I’d like her running things. I’d like to see her as the head of the all-female Avengers. I know Evangeline sort of said … maybe that would be Captain Marvel, because she does have the word ‘captain’ in her name. But I think Hope van Dyne is a very decisive leader and a tactician, in addition to being a brilliant scientist. So she checks a lot of boxes in terms of who’s going to be running the Avengers, theoretically.”

Do you agree with Reed on this? Or do you think another MCU female superhero should be the leader of the ladies?
