Celeste Cortesi is already preparing for the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, and fellow queen Shamcey Supsup is already manifesting a win for the Philippines.
On Instagram, Supsup, who is also the national director of Miss Universe Philippines, said, “The Miss Universe fever is definitely on!!! And I have nothing but love and admiration for our very own Celeste Cortesi.”
She added, “The weeks leading up to the pageant had been tough but through the ups and downs she has shown bravery, humility, and authenticity.”
“I have complete faith that you will bring honor and pride to the Philippines. To all her fans and supporters, please continue to pray for Celeste as she fulfills her destiny!”
Supsup ended her post with, “May I present to you…our next Miss Universe!”

Cortesi is a 25-year-old Filipino-Italian model. She has a Filipino mother and an Italian father and was born on December 15, 1997, in Rome, Italy. The Miss Universe pageant is not her first win. She was also crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2018. Cortesi has modeled for fashion shows both in Italy and the Philippines.
The Miss Universe pageant will be held on January 14, 2023, at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in Louisiana, USA.
If Cortesi wins, she will be the fifth Filipino to win the Miss Universe title, following Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray.
