Ronnie Liang serves in the frontline during COVID-19 crisis

Former Pinoy Dream Academy contestant Ronnie Liang is using his military training to serve in the frontline during our collective fight against the spread of the new coronavirus.

The singer has seen the transportation problem that the essential workforce has to face amid the ongoing lockdown, so Liang has volunteered to help stranded health care workers get to the hospitals they work for.

On some trips, Liang would sometimes serenade the healthcare workers that they ferry to and from work.

Ronnie took part in the Reserved Officers’ Training Corps in college. In 2018, he decided to be part of the Army Reserve. In February, he was promoted to second lieutenant after undergoing trainings at the Armor Division at Camp O’Donnell in Tarlac.

Being a reservist is only one way of helping, Liang said. He also believes that celebrities can use their platforms to be of service to their countrymen.
