Actor Mico Palanca passed away on December 9 at 41 years old. Known for his roles on May Bukas Pa and Tabing Ilog, the actor had taken a break from the limelight in recent years.

On December 10, Mico’s sister Erika Hocson posted a statement from the family on her IG Story. “We are extremely saddened and heartbroken by the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Miko Palanca. The whole family is grateful for the incredible outpour of love and support that has been coming in today,” it reads.
“As of now, we would like to respectfully request for privacy as we go through this very difficult time. Again, we appreciate all the love and support—thank you so much.”
She also posted a couple of photos showing the two of them together. She captioned them: “I love you. Didn’t say it enough. But I did. I do. So much. I’m so glad I got to tell you how much I looked up to you growing up. Thank you, Kuya.”
Their brother, Martin Hocson, posted a message for Mico on his IG story as well. “Already missing you, Kuya. Wish you didn’t go so soon. Rest easy now. I love you,” it said.
Investigations behind his death are still ongoing and no cause has been verified as of yet.
