PITX Remains Open on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday

The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) will not be suspending operations this Holy Week despite the limited trips committed by transport partners in the next two (2) days.

A number of bus companies servicing routes to Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas have advised the PITX Management that there will be limited to no available trips on Thursday and Friday, in observance of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. The landport announced the same on its social media channels earlier this week to give passengers a heads up.

However, PITX expects that there will be people who will insist on waiting for a ride.

“Our doors will remain open because there are still available trips on those days. More importantly, we want to make sure that those who will want to wait until they get on a bus are safe and comfortable while in the terminal,” said PITX Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Head Jason Salvador.

PITX is working closely with its transport partners and other government agencies to extend help to stranded passengers. According to Mr. Salvador, they are currently arranging for a number of bus units to be on standby to ensure that no one will have to spend the Holy Week at PITX.

“It is important that we spend this short break with our families, not anywhere else, especially not in a transport terminal. We will do our best to send everyone home safely,” said Mr.

Salvador.
