Pia Wurtzbach has taken to Instagram to finally speak out on the ongoing issues involving her and her family.
In a post she shared on Monday, November 2, Pia lamented the pains that her family is experiencing right now and urged fans and followers to stop putting the blame on each of them as they attempt to resolve things privately.
“I’m sure a lot of you know that my family is going through some issues at the moment and most of it is posted online. This is a very hurtful time for our family. My sister, especially, had a very traumatic experience and I humbly ask everyone to be kind to her,” she began on her post.
“We are trying to resolve our family issues privately and I ask for your support by not trying to put the blame on anyone and stop victim shaming. Please be mindful on your posts and comments to Sarah, mabigat ang pinagdadaanan niya ngayon (she is experiencing something heavy at this time),” she continued.

“Bilang anak at kapatid, napakasakit sa akin na makitang nagkakaganito ang mga taong mahal ko. Hiling ko na lang po sa inyo na isama nyo kami sa inyong mga dasal at sana mahanap na rin ng aming pamilya ang nararapat na healing. Sa panahon na ito, magpakita po tayo ng pagmamalasakit at pagmamahal sa isa’t isa. Maraming salamat po,” she ended.

News of their family issues first came to light after Sarah, Pia’s younger sister, posted controversial and highly-publicized rants on her Instagram stories in which she heavily criticized the Miss Universe titleholder for allegedly not being a supportive sister to her, specifically for siding with their mother, Cheryl Alonzo Tyndall, with whom Sarah is not on good terms with. Sarah later accused their mother of victim-blaming after she revealed that she was sexually abused as a young woman.
Pia and Sarah have since patched things up. Their mother Cheryl, meanwhile, responded to allegations on her YouTube channel where she claimed she was not aware of the harassment and abuse Sarah experienced when they were still living in the Philippines.
