‘Missing Link’ Wins Best Animated Feature at 2020 Golden Globes

Some people were quite surprised by the winner of the 2020 Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature yesterday, ‘Missing Link’. This is just the fourth time that the winner of the award was not a Disney film.

While there were three Disney movies that were nominated for the award – ‘The Lion King’, ‘Toy Story 4’, and ‘Frozen 2’ – Laika Entertainment’s ‘Missing Link’ still reigned supreme, also beating DreamWorks’ ‘How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World’.

Missing Link animated movie

‘Missing Link’ tells the story of an 8-foot-tall furry Sasquatched named Mr. Link, who gets tired of living alone and befriends an explorer and adventurer to find his long lost relatives. Most people haven’t seen the movie or even heard of it. If you haven’t, you might want to check it out when it comes out in DVD, especially since it is so good, it won a Golden Globe.

‘Missing Link’ aside, the other non-Disney animated films that won Golden Globes in the past are ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse’, ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’, and ‘The Adventures of Tin Tin’.
