GMA Network news reporter Mike Enriquez will be taking a medical leave of absence from work as he is preparing to undergo a medical procedure, according to an official statement by the network.
Enriquez will reportedly need hospital confinement for the procedure and subsequently a minimum of three months of isolation period as advised by his doctor. The network, however, assured the public that he will get back to work in time for GMA’s 2022 Election coverage.
“We support Mike’s decision to undergo the procedure that he needs. We ask for everyone’s prayers and we wish him Godspeed. We look forward to welcoming Mike back as soon as he is cleared to return to work,” said GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.
Enriquez is 70 years of age. He’s revealed in the past that he has an existing kidney condition.
