Merry Mixer 2021: A Coral Christmas

Last December 22, the St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine bore witness to an exciting virtual celebration filled with laughter and joy. This year’s Merry Mixer 2021: A Coral Christmas was decorated with a fun underwater theme and included games and raffle prizes that kept everyone on the edge of their seat.

Presented by the St. Luke’s Medicine Student Council, the Merry Mixer provided an avenue for students from the College of Medicine and Molecular Medicine, together with the faculty doctors and staff to take a break from a whole semester of work and learning through games such as the Guess the Song, Jeopardy and Kahoot. All of which contained questions and challenges that are either related to medicine or Christmas.

The guests truly had an amazing time participating as they were entertained by the lovely Aela Bracamonte and Pauline Macam, the hosts of the evening.

Various students from the Performing Artists League of the institution also took part in showcasing their talents in this year’s Merry Mixer. The SLMCCM Chorale serenaded the audience with their rendition of Star ng Pasko. Artists from the SLCM Musicians’ Circle wowed us with a heartwarming cover of All I Want For Christmas Is You. Lastly, the St. Luke’s Dance Company made our hearts flutter with their dance performance of a Christmas medley.

As the event came to a close, the St. Luke’s community brought with them smiles and memories that when remembered will make them say that that was definitely the season to be jolly!
