Looking Back at The Manila Fling: One-Day Shop and Dine Affair Highlighting Local Products

Last December 7, Bondi Studios, in collaboration with Food Hall, (formerly known as Todd English Food Hall) held The Manila Fling, a single-day shop and dine affair that celebrates the joint efforts of local entrepreneurs and craftsmen in bringing fresh flavor to the Filipino fashion industry. Accompanied by scrumptious food made by Food Hall, the pop-up featured a curated selection of brands that playfully represent the new wave of homegrown enterprises. 

For a price tag of P300, the event’s attendees were able to delight in a banquet of The Food Hall’s most indulgent savory offerings. Dishes such as crispy tuna poke, dynamite salmon skin roll, margherita pizza, bacon parmesan pizza, truffle pasta, pound chicken sliders and cheesy nachos were served, allowing shoppers to refuel after browsing through countless racks and shelves. 

Providing homegrown labels a space to promote themselves beyond the scope of the digital marketplace, The Manila Fling’s carefully curated concessionaires were able to showcase the artistry and uniqueness. From clothing to footwear to accessories to everyday necessities, The Manila Fling’s impressive range of merchants certainly pleased event-goers looking to spice up their style. 

Since The Manila Fling’s undisputed success, Bondi Studios has been working hard to launch their next collaborative project: The Summer Fling. More than just a bazaar with a tropical twist, The Summer Fling aims to thrust homegrown labels and flavors in a brighter limelight. Featuring the coolest emerging brands and your favorite ones, the now two-day affair promises plenty of treats.
