Many of us spent our childhoods playing with LEGO. With the small bricks, we built vehicles, buildings, animals, and anything our imagination could produce. As someone who isn’t creative, I couldn’t manage to build anything unless it was one of those guided sets where all I need to do was follow the instructions.
So imagine my shock and joy when I saw that LEGOLAND Malaysia has a MINILAND section where they have LEGO versions of famous landmarks around Asia. I saw the Petronas Towers in Malaysia, the Great Wall in China, and the Taj Mahal in India. There are famous attractions from 17 countries, built from over 30 million LEGO bricks.
Seeing all these, I wondered if there was a MINILAND rendition for the Philippines. I’m happy to report that there is, and they built a beautiful version of Bolinao.
According to the official description, “The beauty of Bolinao, a thriving fishing town on the coast of Luzon Island in the Philippines, makes it a popular tourist attraction. Within the town centre is the Church of St. James the Great, built in 1609, and Bolinao offers scenic beaches and waterways with colourful fishing boats.”
Yes, it’s all made from LEGO!
