LOOK: This photo shows fuel prices in 2016 and we kind’a miss it

This is really nostalgic.

If I had a time machine, I’d go back during this time only to get a full tank of gas.

But that’s just me…

Raymond Alejandrino shared the following photo on Facebook showing the fuel prices in February 2016.

According to Raymond, this photo was taken along A. Bonifacio Avenue going to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

He also shared with us his thoughts when he posted this photo. He said:

When I posted this, I can’t help but ask myself, “Are we still okay as a country? What does our government want from us? Where will this take us? Will I still have a job?” I had no definite thoughts, no resolution, just all inquiries from me as Filipino.

Given that this was taken going towards NLEX, I think this price is still considered high during that time. Fuel prices in other areas might even be lower than this.

From the photo, the price of diesel was at P19.95 per liter. The price of V-Power Racing, which is the most expensive fuel variant from this gas retailer, was at around P36.80 per liter.

At present, fuel prices fluctuate between P45 to P60. In other areas like in a town in Romblon, fuel prices were as high as P71 per liter.

From a recent report from the government, we can be expecting a huge oil price rollback this week.
