Today, November 10, the 41-year-old actor-entrepreneur took to his Instagram account to post a throwback photo of him and Jolina which was taken exactly 23 years ago as he greeted her a happy anniversary of the day their love team was formed!
“Thanks labtim for 23 years of beautiful memories! Patamisin pa natin sa mga susunod natin projects at ating pagkakaibigan! (Let’s keep all our future projects and our friendship even sweeter)” he wrote on his post. “Taken exactly 23 years ago! Happy anniversary to our loveteam labtim!”
Jolina then jumped in on the comments section to reminisce on that particular day they took the picture. “Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Naalala ko ito!!!!! [Itim] ang sand (I remember this! The sand was black),” she said.
“Hhaha pero ang saya saya na natin nun! (But we were already so happy then!)” Marvin replied. “Haaay ang simple ng buhay dati. Problema lang natin mga kababawan ng ating kamusmusan pero dami din naman natin natutunan. (Oh, our lives used to be so simple. Our only problem was the shallowness of our innocence but we learned so much.)”

The Marvin-Jolina tandem rose to fame after they were first paired in a film adaptation of the television series F.L.A.M.E.S. in 1997. They were best known for their 1998 film Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang? which was supposed to get its much-awaited sequel soon under the direction of Antoinette Jadaone. However, the fate of the sequel has yet to be officially confirmed to the public amid rumors that Marvin dropped out of the project.
