Three years ago, Janine Gutierrez went viral for an incident that happened with her driver, Kuya JR.
She began, “BABALA: Lahat talaga nang-iiwan” [“Warning: everyone leaves.”]
Gutierrez said, “I went to my car to put my phone inside & get my wallet. Closed the door and walked to the ATM across the street.”
Upon returning, however, her car wasn’t there.
She continued, “iniwan na ko. Akala pala ni kuya nakasakay na ko. Umabot na po siyang Mandaluyong galing Makati ano po.” [“I was left behind. Kuya though that I got in the car. He made it to Mandaluyong from Makati.”]
Naki-text ako kay manong, hindi ko memorize num ni kuya kaya si Papa tinext ko. After maloka ni papa at natatawa, tinawagan niya si Kuya.
Papa: “Nasaan si Janine?”
Kuya JR: “Andito po.”
Papa: “Wala diyan si Janine! ??”
Kuya JR:”Hala wala nga po!!! Nasaan po siya???”THE END

In a follow-up tweet, Gutierrez said that she borrowed someone’s phone to text her father since she hasn’t memorized Kuya RJ’s number.
She said, “After maloka ni papa at natatawa, tinawagan niya si Kuya.” [“After getting surprised and laughing, he called Kuya.”]
Here’s the conversation, according to Gutierrez:
“Papa: ‘Nasaan si Janine?’ [‘Where’s Janine?’]
Kuya JR: ‘Andito po.’ [‘She’s here.’]
Papa: ‘Wala diyan si Janine!’ [‘Janine’s not there!’]
Kuya JR: ‘Hala wala nga po!!! Nasaan po siya???'” [‘You’re right!!! Where is she???'”]
Three years later and the younger Gutierrez shared an update on Twitter.
Para sa mga fans ni Kuya JR, binati ko na siya ng happy 3rd pang-iiwan anniversary for you. Salamat sa pagpapaalala samin. Parang gusto niya ko iwanan sa picture na to but anyway – ok lang. Basta wag sa kotse ?? https://t.co/XVf1E8NNBl pic.twitter.com/lenNQQGGrC

She wrote, “Para sa mga fans ni Kuya JR, binati ko na siya ng happy 3rd pang-iiwan anniversary for you. Salamat sa pagpapaalala samin. Parang gusto niya ko iwanan sa picture na to but anyway – ok lang. Basta wag sa kotse.“
[“For Kuya JR’s fans, I greeted him a 3rd getting left behind anniversary for you. Thank you for reminding us. It’s like he wants to leave me in this photo but anyway – it’s okay. As long as it’s not in the car.”]
