Is Janine Gutierrez transferring networks?
The award-winning “Babae at Baril” star has been rumored to be the newest addition to the Kapamilya family after she was spotted having dinner with ABS-CBN Network executives as well as actor Paulo Avelino.
The picture was posted last Friday by Leo Dominguez, who is the manager of Janine and Paulo. He also described the gathering as a “congratulatory dinner” but did not specify for what. They were joined by Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal, Dreamscape creative manager Rondel Lindayag, and talent handler Rey Lanada.
The rumors have yet to be confirmed but Paulo reportedly let slip during a media conference on Monday, January 11, that Janine is their “newest Kapamilya” when he opened up about his upcoming film with her, titled “Ngayon Kaya.”
“It’s with our newest Kapamilya, Janine Gutierrez,” he had said.
“Ngayon Kaya” is a romance film directed by Prime Cruz (“Sleepless” (2015), “Isa Pa with Feelings” (2019)) that was originally scheduled to premiere at the first Metro Manila Summer Film Festival, or Summer MMFF, in April 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
It’s unknown when it will be released this year, but it’s most likely going to be during the 2021 Summer MMFF.
