In case you haven’t heard, rising singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Alexander 23 just dropped his new self-produced track “IDK You Yet” and employed the help of local artist Jappy Agoncillo to create the stunning art for its lyric video!
Jappy is known for his signature energetic, colorful, lively, and dynamic style which brings life to such a melancholic sound.
“The visuals are an homage to one of my favorite cities in the world – Los Angeles,” he shared. “From The Valley, to DTLA, to Santa Monica and Venice, then back to the Hills, I wanted to cram as much as I could of what I loved about commuting around the City, including sights and landmarks that I loved and felt needed to be referenced here. The song was written in quarantine, so I felt I needed to reflect that, showing an entire city at a near complete standstill.”
“This song is about feeling a void in your heart,” Alexander said about the track, which he wrote while in self-isolation. “I think especially with everything that’s going on in the world right now, people are feeling incomplete. I know I am.”
