Kris Bernal just announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Perry Choi!
The Filipina actress shared the news on social media with a series of movie posters on Friday, March 3. Along with the quirky film titles “When Two Become Three: A Comedic Documentary,” “Pregnant,” and “Meet the Parents: First Comes Love, Then Comes Baby” is the baby’s release date: August 2023.
“It happened – we weren’t really ‘trying,’ but we were blessed with a pregnancy! I can still remember, I felt a rush of different emotions when the test showed two lines. Did you sense I was already pregnant? Finally, I can share this wonderful journey with you all,” Kris wrote in her first post’s caption.

She then continued in another post, sharing a few details about her first trimester. “So, this is what morning sickness feels like. I’ve been trying to mimic or portray this kind of feeling in some of my tv roles/scenes! And, it was waaaaay different!! Bad acting, KB,” she joked. Although, she was able to pivot her acting skills in real life, hiding her pregnancy in the beginning. “I haven’t experienced anything like this before and I feel like a stranger in my own body. Is it really like this momSHEs? It’s a miracle that I was able to keep up appearances at work and with friends without anyone knowing what was going on! Good acting, KB!”
“The first trimester was no joke,” she added, before turning the spotlight to Perry in the next post.

According to her, her husband has been “very hands-on” in taking care of her. “He put up with all my crazy mood swings, reminds me of the dos and don’ts of my doctor, makes sure I take my medicines on time, and the list goes on,” she shared. But then she had to stop her rambling as she started to tear up while describing Perry’s efforts and moved on to a short but sweet message to the soon-to-be dad.
She penned, “Perry, you have what it takes to welcome parenthood! You’ll def nail this whole dad thing!”

Even though we missed the first trimester, Kris revealed that she has documented it to be uploaded on her YouTube channel soon.
We recall that the two met as business partners in 2016, a year before Kris announced their relationship in November 2017. Then, they tied the knot in September 2021 following their engagement in February 2020.
