Surprise, surprise! Miley Cyrus and longtime best friend Cody Simpson are officially in a relationship.
The Australian singer admitted to HollywoodLife during a Tiffany & Co. Men’s Launch Event that he was no longer a bachelor. “I am not single, I am not single,” he said. “I’m very happy. Very, very happy.”
When asked what makes Miley so special to him, Cody couldn’t help but bare his feelings. “She’s creative, she’s very passionate about what she does. I’m very similar in that sense, so I think that’s why we get along so well,” he gushed.
He also shared how he and Miley have been through a lot together as friends and have seen each other grow from “partying” to “working real hard” which he said was the secret to their healthy relationship.
This is also the first time a close friend has turned into a lover for Cody. “It’s kind of like a different experience, having been friends with somebody before, and like developing naturally into something more. So it’s like a very natural, healthy feeling,” he said.

Although many fans are shocked by their sudden relationship, it seems that Cody is definitely head-over-heels in love with Miley now that he wrote his first love song dedicated to her!
“I wrote her a song this week and she’s pretty much forcing me to put it out. She’s like, ‘If you don’t put this s**t out, I’m putting it out on your behalf for you. I’m getting your Spotify login and doing this s**t myself.’ I was like, alright, I’ll do it,” he shared.
It was just last week when Miley and Cody were caught kissing in public, a few days after Miley reportedly split with her quick flame Kaitlynn Carter.

This is Miley’s second romantic relationship after her controversial divorce with Liam Hemsworth on August 10.
