According to reports, Captain Marvel will be set in the Kree-Skrull war, which we first saw in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Fans were quick to notice that Larson’s costume is a far cry from what the character wears in the comics. In the film, the hero is in green while the comic version has her in red. Others pointed out that the green tones is more faithful to the original Captain Marvel, the alien hero Mar-Vell.
Captain Marvel was known as Ms. Marvel, who first appeared in Ms. Marvel in 1977. Her alter ego is Carol Danvers, a member of the United States Air Force who becomes a hero when a fusion of alien Kree (an advanced militaristic alien race) and human genes gives her superhuman powers. IGN ranked her 11th in the list of top 50 Avengers.
Captain Marvel will premiere on March 8, 2019.
