Here’s Who Might Be Replacing Ellen DeGeneres as Host of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’

As the long-running Ellen DeGeneres Show becomes increasingly embroiled in controversy due to growing reports of it being a toxic workplace, rumors are starting to spread that a certain celebrity host is set to replace Ellen on her eponymous talk show.

According to The Sun, an insider source confirmed that the host of CBS’s Late Late Show, James Corden, has long been considered the “successor” of Ellen even before the controversies sprouted.

“James and his team have been trailblazers in modern TV, taking the once considered graveyard chat show slot into a cutting edge format with huge online, social media and global recognition,” the source said. “Replacing Ellen was always going to be a tough challenge, but he is a natural fit and easy transition. James would freshen up daytime and with a free hand would be allowed to build a new afternoon era.

James is best known for his Carpool Karaoke and Drop The Mic segments, as well as his many roles in Hollywood films.

Netizens have long been calling Ellen out on social media due to the way she evidently treated her guests on the show. However, the issue blew up when Buzzfeed News published a detailed report exposing the talk show’s workplace environment where bullying, racism, and sexual harassment allegedly ran rampant. It is currently being under investigation by WarnerMedia.

Ellen has already published an emotional apology to her production staff and promised to take active steps to improve the culture of her show, which was supposed to air its newest season in September.
