Here’s the COVID-19 Updates For March 29, 2020

Today, the Department of Health (DOH) marked 343 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the number of cases to 1,418.

There are also three deaths today, bringing the total to 71.

However, it’s important to note that there are seven new recoveries, bringing it to 42 in total.

There’s good news on the horizon: today, the DOH announced that “the initial 2,000 BGI RT-PCR test kits and the 100,000 Sansure RT-PCR test kits donated by the Chinese government have been assessed by the RITM to be at par with test kits provided by the World Health Organization after parallel testing were done.”

This donation means that we can test more people and quickly identify cases so medical frontliners can attend to them quickly.
