University Of The Philippines Parking Lot – Pusoy (Uppl -Pusoy), also known for throwing the best parties in UP Baguio, is back with their signature party, FULLHOUSE, with this year’s theme: Code Red for its fifth installment. The party will be held on the 13th of October at Mimi’s Baguio Bed and Homestay in Loakan Access Road, Loakan Proper, Baguio City.
Tickets will be sold starting this week at 200Php for the first 150 customers and 250Php for the rest of the pre-sale. Walk-in tickets will be sold for 300Php.
Origin of the Name
FULLHOUSE is the very first house party of UPPL-PUSOY and also the first for the UP Baguio community. UPPL-PUSOY named the party FULLHOUSE simply because it is a house party full of fun and drinks! UPPL-PUSOY was quite inactive in 2012. So, the following year, the members needed a promotion for the organization and so came the biggest house party in UP Baguio- FULLHOUSE brought by the members of UPPL-PUSOY.
The beneficiaries
- The University of the Philippines- Baguio Varsity Team/s: As a state university team, they only have limited funds and equipment. Most times, the players have to pay their own transportation, equipment, and uniforms. We wish to be able to fund a portion of their expenses to aide them.
- Coping with Mental Health: This year, the organization intends to commemorate the passing of one of our own members. As such, we will be hosting a seminar on Mental Health: Coping with University Life. The call for more social awareness for this cause has become one of our main advocacies for our upcoming projects.
- Tetra Pack Drive: In line with the call for zero waste and a plastic-free Baguio City, our organization will be collecting Tetra packs for the entire school year so that we can make eco bags that people can use when doing their shopping instead of plastic bags. We will be giving the bags to a selected beneficiary. The organization will require funds for making of the bags after collecting all the tetra packs.
