The first-ever PulutanFest is happening on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at a 20,000 sqm park venue, Liwasang Kalikasan, CCP Complex, Pasay City. Gates open at 3 pm, and we celebrate until 12 mn!
PulutanFest 2023 aims to celebrate the unique and diverse pulutan culture of the Philippines. Our advocacy is to provide free food stalls to curated pulutan vendors to feature their pulutan creations. By providing pulutan vendors with complimentary food stalls, we not only offer them a platform to showcase their unique dishes, but also create an opportunity for them to increase their earnings, expand their customer base, and gain wider recognition.
We have extended invitations to over 50 pulutan vendors. Imagine a culinary gathering where the legendary sisig from Makati, viral sisig from Marikina, trending grilled balut from Tondo, all-time favorite isawan from Quezon City, classic ihaw-ihaw from Cavite, and many more mouthwatering treats come together in one place. This is PulutanFest, a celebration of flavors that will delight every food lover. Check out https://pulutanfest.com

The Pulutan of the Year Awards
This is the highlight of PulutanFest, where attendees actively participate in voting for The People’s Choice Pulutan of the Year. Food influencers were also invited to join the festivities and to vote for the Influencers’ Choice Pulutan of the Year. Each winner will receive a proudly Filipino-made Large Eater’s Grill from Eater’s Grill Barbeque and Smoker.
Influencers play a vital role in helping these vendors reach a broader audience. We greatly appreciate their commitment to this, which is why we are so happy to have them be part of PulutanFest 2023 as esteemed judges. Stay tuned as we announce our roster of judges.
Uniting Communities
PulutanFest goes beyond being a mere cultural event; it serves as a powerful platform for uniting communities. Recognizing the importance of collaboration, we have extended invitations to other groups, such as CBAP (Craft Brewers of the Philippines), the Philippine Hot Sauce Club, and FoodTrip Manila. These organizations will bring along their own communities, joining us in the collective endeavor of promoting and celebrating the Pulutan culture of the Philippines.
Preserving an Art form
We are also advocating for the preservation of a unique art form from our jeepney sign makers. Signs during the event will be created by these artisans, and we believe that this will give them a platform to showcase their craft and promote its value to our culture.
For a true fiesta feel, we will have live performances from Brownman Revival and P.O.T, The JR OCA Experience, Kosmikskala, and Bopek. We will also feature fiesta-inspired games, which will add to the festive atmosphere and engage attendees in the celebration. Eventgoers will receive a token for every purchase from a vendor to use in our games for a chance to win exciting prizes.
To cap off the festivities, PulutanFest will raffle off proudly Filipino-made cast iron cookware from The Iron House (Cebu). Everyone who voted for a Pulutan of the Year is eligible for the raffle, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to take home these authentic and top-quality culinary treasures while enjoying the festival!
PulutanFest is made possible through the unwavering support of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and Pasay City Government. It is powered by the SYP (Share Your Pulutan) Facebook community with over 300k members. This event marks the beginning of an annual gathering aimed at promoting and celebrating the vibrant and rich Filipino Pulutan culture.
