A group of 12 senior Multimedia Arts students will be hosting an exhibition entitled “ENTROPY: Pagliban ng Kapayapaan.” The exhibit is set to run from September 5 to 9, 2016 at the Nova Art Gallery, La Fuerza Plaza II, 2241 Chino Roces Ave, Makati City.
The word Entropy means the degree of disorder or randomness in a system; the system being interpreted as the society or one’s self. In this multimedia exhibit, the artists will focus on the gray area of chaos or a certain situation they are in.
When a person is in a difficult situation, they always tend to look forward to that day when everything will finally be back to normal. But then, all chaotic situations have its own processes until it gets back to normal, until the series of events die down.
But how does a person engage in a challenging situation dictated by chaos and what are the examples of triumph over chaos? How can chaos be a catharsis for a resolution? How does chaos affect the social well being of a person?
With this, the artists aim to illustrate that anticipating hope and integrity in every chaotic situation and to create artworks that would enlighten the audience regarding how they could cope up with their chaotic situation.
