A new Filipino movie is coming to Netflix soon, and I highly recommend adding it to your Watch List! It might just be me and the fact that the only Filipino movies I’ve seen are the ones my acquaintances have recommended (more on ‘One More Chance’, ‘Starting Over Again’, and the like), but I was pleasantly surprised by the tasteful raunchiness and sexiness of this particular movie.
Starring Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Enchong Dee, ‘Alter Me’ is directed by RC Delos Reyes and written by Danno Kristoper C. Mariquit. The film follows an HR manager who seeks the mentorship of a coveted escort to better connect with other people and her own emotions. However, he soon opens her heart to unexpected feelings. Prior to the release on Netflix next week, I was lucky enough to watch a screener beforehand and even interview the director and lead stars of the movie this morning. Going with the sexy theme of the movie, I couldn’t resist asking them, “What are your biggest fantasies?”
Jasmine Curtis-Smith hesitated at first, answering, “It was always my fantasy to be on Netflix, and now I’m on it. Like, ganun? [Does that count?]” While I didn’t want to pressure anything personal out of them, Enchong Dee surprisingly chimed in with a teasing, “GO AHEAD!!! MORE SEXUAL!!!” To make them more comfortable in opening up, Enchong started by sharing what his biggest fantasy is: joining the mile-high club!
The mile high club is basically slang for people who have sex during a flight with the term ‘mile high’ alluding to being high up in the air. Since this is technically hard to do and pull off without getting caught, I totally get why he has this fantasy.

Director RC Delos Reyes shared his fantasy, as well. His original answer was “Pumayat! Charot! [To lose weight! Kidding!]”, but Enchong wouldn’t accept that answer, pointing out that it was a goal, not a fantasy. To that, Direk changed his answer to one that I’m sure many people will be able to relate to. After struggling a little, he eventually shared: “Siguro my biggest fantasy is to be with someone that I can call a partner in life, to be with that special someone.”
Jasmine let out an ‘aww’ and expressed how sweet his answer was. After hesitating a little to follow that response, she veered back into the same intimate theme as Enchong’s answer, exclaiming (shouting, and with feelings, I might add): “BY THE BEACH!!!” She eventually added, “…But not sand. Whatever happens at the beach. Basta at the beach with no sand.” We’ll leave the rest to your imagination.
‘Alter Me’ will premiere on November 15 on Netflix, and will be available across Asia.
