Emma Stone Is Confirmed to Return for ‘Cruella 2’

Loved Disney’s Cruella that came out in June? Well, good news to those who did (which you should have, because it was awesome) because Cruella 2 is now in the works, and Emma Stone is confirmed to be returning to play the iconic villain!

A sequel has been rumored since Cruella first came out, and although the film’s director Craig Gillespie and screenwriter Tony McNamara were already expected to be on board for Cruella 2, things were still unsure with Stone. Until now, that is.

Patrick Whitesell, Executive Chairman of Endeavor, Stone’s agency, said: “While the media landscape has been disrupted in a meaningful way for all distributors, their creative partners cannot be left on the sidelines to carry a disproportionate amount of the downside without the potential for upside.”

“We are proud to work alongside Emma and Disney, and appreciate the studio’s willingness to recognize her contributions as a creative partner.  We are hopeful that this will open the door for more members of the creative community to participate in the success of new platforms.”
