The Department of Health (DOH) updated the quarantine guidelines for those who tested positive and those in close contact with a COVID-positive individual. The guidelines also depend on whether you’re fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated, or unvaccinated.

Here are the guidelines:

If you are a close contact of a COVID-positive individual:

  • If you are fully vaccinated: From seven days to five days
  • If you are partially vaccinated: Still 14 days
  • If you are unvaccinated: Still 14 days

If you tested positive and you are asymptomatic:

  • If you are fully vaccinated: Seven days, beginning from when you received a positive test result
  • If you are partially vaccinated: Still 10 days
  • If you are unvaccinated: Still 10 days

If you tested positive and you exhibit symptoms, even mild ones:

  • If you are fully vaccinated: From 10 days to seven days
  • If you are partially vaccinated: Still 10 days
  • If you are unvaccinated: Still 10 days

If you tested positive and you exhibit moderate symptoms:

  • 10 days for everyone, regardless of vaccine status

If you tested positive with severe or critical symptoms:

  • 21 days for everyone, regardless of vaccine status
