The Department of Health has designated three hospitals in Metro Manila to exclusively cater to COVID-19 patients.

These three are the Lung Center of the Philippines (Quezon City), UP Philippine General Hospital (Manila), and Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital (Caloocan).

Kung kayo po ay nakakaranas ng mga malalang sintomas at kayo po ay na-expose sa COVID-19 patient, maaari pong pumunta sa PGH para kayo ay ma-test at mabigyan ng kaukulang alaga,” Health Secretary Rosette Vergeire said in a virtual press conference on Friday, March 20.

(“If you are experiencing severe symptoms and have been exposed to a patient with COVID-19, proceed to PGH so that you may be tested and given medical attention.”)

DOH has also refuted claims that the Las Piñas General Hospital was included in the list of designated facilities and that they have assigned each city within the National Capital Region to a specific referral hospital.

“Las Piñas General Hospital is not included in the list and DOH has not yet released any advisory or/and guidelines on areas covered by the identified hospitals in NCR. Rest assured that the public will be notified on the assignment of areas to the proposed and identified COVID-19 hospitals,” they said.
