Sometimes, things just don’t go the way we plan them to, no matter how hard we try. Take the case of this couple, Angel Lobido and Brian Estores, who decided to part ways after nine years together.
Not all breakups have to be bitter, though, and it’s touching to see that the two are leaving their relationship maturely, with kindness and fondness for one another.
Inspired by Instagram’s “Best Nine”, Angel and Brian each posted their own version on Facebook, putting together a collage of photos from their best memories throughout their nine years together.
On her post, Angel starts her message with:
Let this be an appreciation/ yearender/ farewell post to my childhood sweetheart who spent his whole 9 years with me. As they say “A goodbye doesn’t mean anything. It’s the time we spent together that matters, not how we left it”.
Meanwhile, Brian ended his own post with:
So, I guess this is my last goodbye. I will never forget the way you made my heart feel for the long time you loved me. I lived – while you loved me. Let’s focus on making the best out of what life has given to us. I have to let you go. Wow – that was the hardest line to type. Goodbye, beautiful. Don’t forget about me. If God decided to take me from this world, please know in your heart that you were loved with everything in my being. I wish you all the happiness life has to offer.
I love you then, still, always have, and always will.
