Yesterday, the Philippines took a massive blow when Gilas Pilipinas lost against China in the FIBA finals, with a score of 67-78. Netizens were disappointed, with some even calling for a boycott of Chowking, a popular Chinese fastfood restaurant.
But Chowking decided to tweet about the issue. In the tweet, they addressed accusations that the game was rigged (or luto, which directly translates to cooked). According to the tweet:
We had nothing to do with China’s win! If something was cooked (rigged), it only happens in our kitchen ๐ #GilasPilipinas
They also tweeted this image:
“The #RoadtoRio2016 doesn’t end here”

I think it’s kind of stupid to bring a fastfood restaurant into this. It’s not like they sponsored the opposing team or anything. Yeesh.
