364 scholars from Cebu City between 2015 and 2016 received incentives amounting to a total of P3.2 million after graduating with honors, according to local reports!
According to local reports, one scholar graduated summa cum laude this year, while 19 scholars graduated magna cum laude, while the rest are cum laude graduates from different accredited schools.
The incentives worth P3.2 million is charged to this year’s revised annual budget, instead of the original PAGCOR funds.
The Cebu City ordinance states that summa cum laude graduates receive P20,000 from the city government, while magna cum laude graduates and cum laude scholars will get P15,000 and P10,000 respectively.
