It’s been months since Carlo Aquino and Trina Candaza were rumored to have broken up but neither have come forward to outright confirm the news–until now.
Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Carlo finally admitted that he and Trina are no longer together. “Nag-separate na kami this year lang (We separated this year only),” he said.

The “How To Move On In 30 Days” actor did not share details about why they broke up but assured fans that he and Trina are “civil” and that he is able to be with his daughter, Enola Mithi, every now and then.
“Nag-uusap kami every once in a while [and] nahihiram ko si Mithi pero s’yempre dahil nga pandemic pa rin, ‘yung safety muna niya. ‘Pagka may trabaho ako, nag-aantay ako ng ilang days,” he said.
(“We talk every once in a while and I get to spend time with Mithi but of course, because it’s still a pandemic, her safety comes first. When I have work, I wait for a few days [before meeting her].”)
Trina has candidly made posts on her social media accounts to air frustration over men who cheat, though it isn’t clear if she is referring to personal experience or not. She also moved out to a new home with Mithi in January.
