Body Rock Dance Competition Is Coming to The Philippines for the First Time

In the year 2000, before the invention of Youtube and Social Media, dance competitions were the main means for dancers to connect locally and internationally.  Among these competitions is Body Rock, which is known now today as the “Superbowl of Dance Community”.  Since its humble beginning, it has become a launching pad for many famous urban dance groups known today. It has drawn and united dancers from all over the globe, setting a high standard in dance competitions.

As it continues to be one of the longest running and biggest urban dance competitions in the world, Body Rock comes to Asia for the very first time this 2020 with the Philippines as the official host. Over 30 asian dance crews from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam will gather and compete on February 16, 2020 at The Theater at Solaire.

 

Top 3 winning crews of this Asian Qualifier will be sent to compete for the Body Rock USA Championship on July 11 at Escondido, California. Respected dancers & choreographers from different parts of the world are lined up for the panel of judges  including Adam Alonzo (Philippines), Ricky Caranza (Finland), Miyu Ito (Japan), Zaihar (Singapore), and Ana Sarao (USA).
