Blogapalooza 2013: What You Missed

At the other end of the hall, was the stage where all the talks happened.

YouTube sensations Mikey Bustos and Bogart the Explorer started the ball rolling with some vlogger tips. Then, Francis Simisim and Anton Diaz of ourawesomeplanet.com gave the opening remarks.

It was followed by GoNegosyo’s talk about how blogging can help in improving one’s business. After the serious business talks, the Comedy Cartel was next in line who entertained the crowd. I’m sure everyone had a good laugh with them! Some more people who shared their tips on blogging, TV, earning and writing were Ana Santos of Writer’s Block Philippines, Philip the Lifestyle Guy, Jason Cruz, community management director at MRM Worldwide, Karen Bordador and Boys Night Out!

Business who joined the biggest online gathering also had their share of the stage. They were given a few minutes to talk about the company and what they have to offer. Some of them even gave away items to raffle for the bloggers!

BUT, what brought us into tears was when a survivor of Yolanda typhoon shared her story. (See complete story here: https://www.wheninmanila.com/faith-in-humanity-restored-survivors-story-from-super-typhoon-yolanda-haiyan/) She only showed to everyone  how little ways can go a long way! And because of that, Blogapalooza, together with all the bloggers and businesses who were at the event, was able to raise a total of Php 82,000.00 to donate to World Vision and the #PiggyBankMovement 🙂

Blogapalooza 2013 was indeed filled with so much fun, heart and learning, but it wasn’t complete without the surprise FLASH MOB that performed towards the end of the event! Thanks to Project Awesome for the awesome performance!!

I still feel so lucky to be part of this big gathering. I will always be proud to be part of the WhenInManila.com because if not for Vince and the team, I wouldn’t have the chance to learn and meet fellow social media experts in events like this… and gain awesome friends along the way! 🙂
