Best of Boracay: Nandana Resort

As the season’s days stretch longer and our ripe March month turns into April, Holy Week, Laboracay and summer weekends lay ahead. A favorite Filipino destination to venture to on those warm summer days remains Visayan paradise Boracay. Rapid real estate developments over the past years have resulted in an endless beachfront boasting countless resorts. While it may seem hard to choose a place to stay at, consider a luxurious oasis of vacation bliss at White Beach’s Station 1 that we were lucky enough to discover recently: Nandana Boracay Resort.

The relatively new beachfront resort, which credits its name to the sanskrit meaning of “Firstborn”, was openened in April 2012 and offers around 90 guest rooms, including Deluxe, Deluxe Pool Side, Premiere, Premiere Sea View rooms and a Presidential Suite. The rooms are all spacious and clean, furnished with either a king or queen bed or two queen beds, accommodating up to four people.

A great place to travel for either business or leisure, Nandana Resort provides an ideal home on the island.

White Beach stretches along nearly 4km on the Western side of the island. Being close to D’Mall’s central shopping and restaurant disctrict as well as still remaining at a beachstretch that is not too crowded at Station 1, Nandana Resort’s location is ideal.

Upon arrival to Nandana Resort, we were greeted by several friendly staff members who lead us to a complementary dinner. We immediately felt welcome and were excited to call Nandana Resort our home for the next few days. The dinner buffet boasted a wide selection of local and international favorites and we were happy to satisfy intense hunger pangs after several long hours traveling to the island.

Daily meals are served at the resort’s own Mecca Restaurant. The delicious breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of foods, something for every individual taste in our group.

Unlike previous trips to Boracay, our transport from Kalibo airport to the hotel was organized by Nandana Resort itself. Not having to deal with the hassle of organizing boat, bus and tricycle tickets and rides, our trip remained stressfree and easy.

Our entire stay at Nandana Resort was nothing short of excellent, from the service to the amenities, to the food. However, what we were most excited about were the fantastic rooms we were accommodated in: the Premiere Sea View Rooms featuring our own private terrace with private jaccuzzis, dining area, sunbeds, workout area and magnificent beachfront views. After watching the sunrise and sunset from your own private Nandana balcony, we could not imagine a better place to reside at when visiting Boracay!

Because the private terrace is shared by five Premier Seaview Rooms, these make the perfect place for families or barkadas to reside in. Imagine staying at a hotel next to all your loved ones and enjoying the privacy of your own dining, sun bathing, swimming and lounging area! A stay at Boracay cannot get any better than that!
