Alleged Phone Thief Asks Owner to Delete Her iCloud Account for Christmas

Trending & Features December 12, 2015 Angeline Rodriguez

Ah, the pain and the hurt of losing a phone.

I’m sure a lot of people out there have lost a phone at least once in their lives.

Or, if not, they at least know someone who has lost one.

However, have you ever experienced the alleged thief approaching you on social media, so that they can use your stolen phone properly? That’s exactly what netizen Renee Rose recently experienced.

Here’s what she had to say:

Hi! Sending you this screenshot of a message sent to me by the person who stole my phone last Oct 25. Wala lang, i just feel like sharing it kasi nakakatawa na nakakainis yung kakapalan ng mukha niya. Haha!

[Rough translation: I just feel like sharing it because it’s both funny and annoying how thick-skinned this guy is.]

Alleged Phone Thief Asks Owner to Delete Her iCloud Account for Christmas

Text in photo: “Hi..miss paki erase na po yung iphone nyo sa www.icloud.com . . .may erase iphone dun..plsss..na aacess ko pa kasi yung mga files nyo..pamasko na skin..thank you”

Rough translation: “Hi. Miss, could you please erase your iPhone on www.icloud.com? There’s an erase iPhone bit there. Please. Coz I can still access your files. Let this be your Christmas gift to me. Thank you.”

Obviously, Kevin De Guzman is just an account made to contact the original iPhone owner and not the alleged thief’s real name, but still… What kind of thief would contact the owner like this? And even if he didn’t steal it, but instead bought a stolen phone without knowing about it, he still shouldn’t have rubbed salt in the wound, don’t you think?

What do you think of this story? :p
