We need groups to ADOPT A WEEKDAY to greet EVACUEES in VILLAMOR Airbase.
About 600 evacuees come in everyday. Min. of 4 flights with 150 evacuees per flight. 1st flight comes in at 9am. Last flight comes in at 5pm. Evacuees are brought to the hospital or to their relatives.
Would your group be willing to adopt a weekday? There are very few volunteers that come in on a weekday. This includes:
- Soup kitchen (bring own heating equipment for soup / noodles)
- Volunteers (shifts: 9am – 1pm, 1-5pm, 5-9pm; 10 per shift)
- Relief goods (water, food, and toiletries)
- Transportation to bring evacuees outside of the base
Let me know so we can reserve a day for your group! Recommend around 10 people per group and shift.

UPDATE: Other than info above, they REALLY need more help. Asking if we can:
a) Get a lead cook. Set up a hot food table so you can greet the people with hot food upon landing. We’re trying this out today. I’ll let you know how it goes. They’re very hungry so prepared food upon landing would be very helpful.
b) Gather relief bags for distribution. 150 per flight.
c) Prepare transportation. Assign a driver. Evacuees need transportation outside of the airbase.
