A-Team’s HOME and 5 Not-So-Dance-Related Things That Happened That Made Us Enjoy It More.

So, here are the 5 Not-So-Dance-Related Things That Happened That Made Us Enjoy “HOME” More.

 1. Numerous runs of A-Team’s opening piece.

Due to unknown technical difficulties, the music of their opening number kept on skipping and stopping between the track.  They had to start from the beginning because you know, you can’t dance without music. I saw them during their dry run before the event and the music was working well so this is real bummer as it was happening on the actual show. Nonetheless, the crowd was NOT disappointed at all. Every time the dancers had to start from the beginning, the crowd was cheering them up, making the performance pumped up even if the dancers were getting exhausted (though, it wasn’t obvious) .

2. The epic attempts Dora and Marla did to entertain the crowd.

That’s Dora, and he’s a beast on the dance floor.

But here with Marla, he’s a totally different person.

Because everyone had to wait for the music to work, A-Team had to stall and entertain the crowd. Then comes Marla and Dora on stage to save the night! They made the audience do a collective wave, shout and they also gave out prices for those who can answer A-Team trivia questions.

3. Jason wows for the crowd

We might have seen a future A-Team member that night.

During the 15-minute break and the house music was just playing, I saw this kid freestyling on the side of the stage. He was so cute! When the A-Team members saw him they carried him on to the stage and danced. Everyone was watching him and they were so invested with the steps he was doing. Simultaneous gasps and cheers came from the crowd as he bust-a-moved!

4. Short speeches from the teams’ coaches that made everyone see the hardships behind every dance.

The Ardas sharing their experience and thanking everyone before they dance their winning piece.

What we see on stage is the result of months (even years) of hard work and determination. There are lots of challenges dancers go through like balancing work/school with dance and lack of funds, but still, each dancer performs his/her best for a greater purpose. Now that we know this, hopefully we will have a different outlook on what dance and dancers do to give everyone a great piece.

5. The Proposal

Dhztine and Ren’s moment made everyone kilig!

 Group hug after the proposal.

One of the sweetest moments one can witness is a proposal, and that was what we witnessed that night before A-Team performed their winning piece. Just look at their faces! AHHHH! SO MUCH FEELS!!!

And there you have it, When in Manila readers!
