Black Panther fans, we have great news for you: there might just be a spin-off series following Okoye.

Danai Gurira, who plays the head of the Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s all-female special forces and T’Challa’s bodyguards, “gently alludes” to it on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Her exact words were, “I have been told… that I can gently allude to this possibility. So I am gently alluding.”

Watch the interview below:

Colbert mentioned there have been rumors about the series but an article from 2021 seems to confirm it.

Jamie Mandelbaum was included in The Hollywood Reporter‘s feature “Power Lawyers 2021: Hollywood’s Top 100 Attorneys” and there is a brief mention of this.

The feature shared that he “brokered a deal for actress Danai Gurira to not only reprise her role as Okoye in the upcoming Black Panther sequel but also in an origin spinoff series for Disney+.”

Besides that, there is no word when it will be available for streaming.
