From the rampant misinformation regarding COVID treatments and vaccines to journals that are hardly available due to publication issues, the organization aims to tackle and raise awareness on the pressing issues in the scientific community today, especially when it comes to the masses accessing the information on science.

The organization believes that social status, socioeconomic status, and educational background continue to be obstacles in science professions today. Not all aspirants have the access and motivation to pursue science due to these factors. In the Philippine context, we are faced with a lack of access to education and materials, a lack of learning opportunities, an inefficient presentation of science education, which ultimately leads to the lack of appreciation of science and under-recognized science communication efforts.

Stemming from different fields, four panelists, namely Ms. Beatrice Anne Maquilan (Physics), Ms. Via Pepingco (Biology), Ms. Alicia Robang (Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering), and Dr. Chona Camille VinceCruz-Abeledo (Biology), are invited to relay and share their insights on how the community and the government can improve and create efficient and more inclusive solutions in communicating scientific information to the masses.

Registration for the said event is still open and will be held on May 22 from 4 PM to 6 PM via Zoom.
