In a social media post, Remulla said that one of the ways to strengthen the body’s immune system is making sure to have enough sleep. He said that the curfew is not just to prevent unnecessary loitering at night, but also to help people get sound sleep.

With this, the governor said that one of the most common complaints that they’ve received these past few months is the “tireless abuse” of karaoke, videoke, or KTV. He said that this is “the favorite past time of those who don’t do anything from late night to the wee hours of the morning.”

As such, Remulla said that the noise from karaoke can be considered as a violation of the curfew hours because of how it can disrupt others’ sleep.
