After BTS donated $1 million for the Black Lives Matter movement (with their fans, dubbed ARMY, matching the donation in 24 hours), they are making another huge donation: the band and its management company Big Hit Entertainment just donated another $1 million, this time for live-entertainment personnel.

The amount was pledged to Live Nation’s charity campaign, Crew Nation, which aims to help concert workers displaced by canceled events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, BTS said, “If it weren’t for COVID-19, we would have been happily touring across the world with many of our live concert crews by now. We are aware that a lot of communities need help due to COVID-19, and we wanted to support the music industry crews by making a donation. We hope to meet again on stage very soon.”

According to Live Nation, BTS’ donation “is one of the largest artist donations that has been raised for the Crew Nation fund since its conception.”
