Christopher de Leon talked about his journey as a COVID-19 survivor. On the pilot episode of Ruffa Gutierrez’s show, Love Thy Chika, the actor talked about what he went through as a COVID-19 patient.

During the interview, De Leon said that he has no idea how he contracted COVID-19. He went to get tested for the virus after his doctor told him to do so. He told Gutierrez that he spent an entire day lining up to get tested and didn’t receive any special treatment.
When De Leon and his wife, Sandy Andolong received the news that he was positive for COVID-19, they were both surprised. His wife said that they were both surprised because her husband is probably one of the cleanest people she knows.

The actor also shared his isolation experience, and he said that it made him more prayerful. The actor shared, “I was very prayerful. My prayers were more intense. ‘You gave me this. You have a purpose, go ahead.’ It’s more of, just please spare the others. I think this will be an important reminder that after this, it should be a different life.”
