Scooter Braun said that he was supposed to run for public office, but changed his mind after he was “attacked publicly.” The music executive is known for discovering Justin Bieber and managing Ariana Grande.

In an interview with British GQ, Braun said, “Public office is something I’ve thought about in the past, but only because I get very frustrated by a lack of leadership.”
He adds, “Recently I was attacked very publicly by someone I don’t know, someone who refused to have a conversation with me, and I wish that person nothing but the best and hope that one day a dialogue is had, because I think it all could have been avoided with proper dialogue.”

Though the music executive didn’t drop any names, many speculate that he hinted at his public feud with singer Taylor Swift. Last year, Swift called out Braun for purchasing her former record label and with it gained the master recordings of her albums.
