WHOA!!! This ‘computer-generated’ influencer lands deal with talent agency

Virtual and CGI-influencer Lil Miquela landed a contract with CAA, a Los Angeles-based talent agency. Lil Miquela is a 19-year old virtual influencer founded in 2016 by Los Angeles-based agency, Brud.

Since then, she has gained over 2 million followers on Instagram. She’s also worked with big brands like Calvin Klein and Prada. Lil Miquela has also released a song called Machine with singer Teyana Taylor.

With this, the influencer has made a big move with this contract. Lil Miquela is also CAA’s first virtual talent. According to Variety.com, CAA said it will work with Miquela in all areas, including TV, film, and brand strategy, and commercial endorsements.

CAA executive Adam Friedman said, “We are excited to jump in and help her (Lil Miquela) navigate the world of television and film, and also see a unique opportunity for innovative, forward-thinking brands to align with a culturally relevant, icon-in-the-making.”
