Cavite Mass Testing

Cavite surely is stepping up.

Yesterday, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla announced on Facebook that they are going to start mass testing. He said, “For the economy to start we have to do mass testing. Kailangan ay halos 2,000,000 na tao sa lalawigan ang mai-testing.” [“We need to test almost 2,000,000 people in the province.”]

He added, “We are about to start our mass testing program. The infrastructure is in place. We will spend another P300,000,000 for the mass testing to be effective.”

In his post, he outlined who should be tested:

1. Factory workers (cost to be shouldered by the factory owners)

2. Students

3. PUJ/Bus/TODA/Padyak/Grab/and Angkas drivers (cost to be shouldered by the province)

4. Teachers and school employees (cost to be shouldered by the province for public schools, and the owners for private schools)

5. Frontliners (cost for regular testing to be shouldered by the province)

6. Grocery, mall, supermarket, wet markets, and talipapa employees (cost to be shouldered by the province for public markets, and the owners for private markets)
