St. Luke’s Medical Center ‘Identifies and Isolates’ Patient Who Tested Positive for Coronavirus

St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City has released an announcement confirming a new coronavirus case today, March 7.

According to the notice, they were able to “identify, isolate, and screen” a patient who turned out to test positive for COVID-19. They claim that the patient was outside of the emergency room and did not enter the main hospital premises. “Fortunately, the patient was identified right away and exposure was limited,” the announcement read.

The Department of Health has already facilitated the transfer and admission of the patient to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.

“The hospital has always been equipped to handle and contain such cases. We have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety and care of all our patients and healthcare workers following a protocol set by our infectious disease specialists,” they added.

This comes just hours after Deloitte Philippines, located in BGC, confirmed that an employee of theirs has tested positive for COVID-19.
