Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli Exchange “I Do’s” in Civil Wedding Ceremony

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Guidicelli!

Longtime lovers Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli officially exchanged “I do’s” in their civil wedding ceremony held yesterday, February 20.

Instead of enjoying their ceremony, however, the couple reportedly ended up getting into a scuffle with Jerry Tamara, one of Sarah’s close-in security detail, and Sarah’s mother, Divine.

In a news article released by CNN Philippines, Taguig police confirmed that Matteo allegedly punched Tamara in the throat after learning that Divine had “arrived unexpectedly” to the wedding.

Allegedly, it was Tamara who had informed Divine about the wedding which was taking place in the evening. She said she was unaware of the ceremony and wanted to confront her daughter about it.

Earlier reports have revealed that Sarah’s mother did not approve of her relationship with Matteo. This may be one of the reasons why Matteo suddenly penned a heartfelt letter addressed to Sarah’s parents apologizing for past mistakes and promising to give Sarah a happy married life.

Despite this incident, we send our warmest regards to the couple for officially tying the knot. Congratulations!
