Amidst all of the hype surrounding Angkas and 17,000 bikers potentially losing their jobs, famous personalities have started tweeting about a new similar motorcycle-hailing app called JoyRide:
Kiray Celis, for one, points out how hard it is to book Grab and Angkas now and then shifts to saying there’s good news that a new motorcycle-booking app is now out to alleviate this problem. She then invites everyone to download the app:
Pero good news, may nabalitaan ako!

Famous Twitter personality Senyora has also tweeted about the app, saying that it’s a good alternative to relieve stress for those having a hard time booking this holiday season:

Some netizens aren’t exactly thrilled about these tweets, though, with one even telling people to mute and block anyone who posts about JoyRide. Other netizens have also claimed that we are merely being manipulated. And others have pointed out how long it took for Angkas to earn the trust of commuters while going through years of fines and legal battles.
What are your thoughts on this? Will you be downloading JoyRide?
