Who said only men should plan their proposals to their girlfriends? This 24-year-old woman didn’t let herself be held back by such social conventions and decided to propose to her boyfriend with an offer he can’t possibly say no to.
According to Asia One, the woman, named Xiaojing, planned the romantic surprise for her boyfriend, Xiaoke, on their first anniversary. She took him to a cultural exhibition in Henan, China where Xiaoke first asked her out and brought him to the exhibition hall which she decked out with balloons.
Wearing a bridal gown, Xiaojing presented him with a lavish bouquet of pink roses. But if you thought it was an ordinary bouquet, you thought wrong… because in it was a brand new car key and a deed to a house!
“I prepared all of this. There’s a car and a house deed here,” Xiaojing told her boyfriend. “It doesn’t matter if you have them or not, I still want to be with you. Will you marry me?”
“This is so unexpected. Yes, I will,” Xiaoke replied.

When asked about her decision to pull off this surprise, Xiaojing told reporters: “He’s usually the one taking care of me and making sacrifices for me. I really want to do something for him.”
She also said that it was her family who sponsored the car and the house. She then made it clear that money was no object to her. “What I want — more than material goods — is love,” she said. “I don’t think that it always has to be the man in the relationship providing [a house and car]. More than that, I want him to be devoted and caring after our marriage.”
